Dr. Ronnie Benshafrut is a highly experienced patent attorney, who provides counselling on IP strategy and value creation, through proper and cost-effective utilization of IP assets, in general, and patents in particular. He advises and manages IP matters for a broad range of clients, in Israel and abroad, in a wide range of industries. His clients include start-up companies, companies in various development stages, and established companies and academic Technology Transfer (TOT) organizations.

Prior to joining our group as head of the patents practice, he served as a senior partner in Reinhold Cohn, where he co-led the life sciences and chemistry group’s endeavors. Ronnie is an expert in creating patent strategies that enable clients to protect their proprietary technologies, and to leverage their unique inherent business value. As a hands-on leader, and skilled professional who is passionate about people and impact-driving ideas, Ronnie makes sure to assume an active role in each client’s case.

Ronnie provides clients with a full array of patent related legal services, including patent filing and prosecution, patent term extension, freedom to operate studies, portfolio management, due diligence.

He represents clients, both Israeli and foreign, operating in the fields of life sciences and chemistry, as well as in a variety of other sectors, such as materials, natural materials, pharmaceutical and medical devices, diagnostics, agriculture, cannabis, green technologies, water technologies, nanotechnologies, energy storage technologies, printing systems and methods, amongst others.
